VICKERS PROP VALVE

Description & Features

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the Vickers Prop Valve is a KBCG-3 Series proportional valve with onboard electronics (OBE), combining the valve body and control electronics into a single integrated package. This configuration reduces installation complexity, minimizes the potential for selection and wiring errors, and streamlines commissioning compared to externally mounted amplifier setups.

Rated at 5 litres per minute, this proportional valve is suited for precision flow and pressure control across a broad range of applications, including machine tools, presses, die casting and foundry equipment, marine and offshore systems, primary metal and paper processing, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment. Buna-N seals provide reliable sealing performance across typical hydraulic fluid service conditions.

Reckon this valve could handle the constant cycling on a punch press we got?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 9, 2025, 7:31 AM
Designed for demanding industrial environments, the Vickers Prop Valve is well-suited for applications involving frequent and precise control of flow and pressure, like those found in presses and machine tools.

got a press application running tight tolerances on flow control, this the kind of valve that'd handle that, or is 5 litres per minute gonna be too low for what we need?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 31, 2025, 6:41 AM
For precision flow control on press equipment, 5 litres per minute is well within the intended operating range for this valve. It's a KBCG-3 Series proportional valve, and press applications are explicitly listed among what it was built for. The proportional control it offers means you're not just getting on/off switching but graduated, repeatable flow management, which is exactly what tight-tolerance press work calls for. Just make sure your system demand doesn't exceed that 5 LPM rating.
