This Vickers KDG4V-3S-33C15A-H-M-U-GP5-60-EN5 proportional valve is direct-acting and suitable for die casting, foundry, machine tool, marine, offshore, press, primary metal, paper, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control applications including wind, steam and water.

Available in three performance levels - ultra, high and standard - to suit a wide range of application requirements. Features plug-and-play functionality to reduce commissioning time. This Vickers proportional valve has a 15 liter per minute flow rate, fluorocarbon seals and a 1.81 inch product width.

Reckon this would hold up okay in a marine environment, or is it more for shop use?

Designed with applications like marine and offshore in mind, this Vickers proportional valve uses fluorocarbon seals, which offer good resistance to many chemicals and harsh conditions.

flow rate on this one says 15 liters per minute -- is that enough for press or die casting work, or is this more of a lighter-duty valve?

For die casting and press applications, 15 liters per minute is well within the range this valve is built for. Both those industries are explicitly listed as supported applications, so you're not pushing it outside its intended use. Where flow demand gets heavier, you'd want to verify your system requirements line up with that 15 LPM ceiling, but for a good chunk of press and die casting setups, that rating handles the job without issue.
