VICKERS DG17V4010CH10S588

Description & Features

A single-stage directional control valve rated for flow up to 114 litres per minute, the Vickers DG17V4-010C-H-10-S-588 is suited to demanding industrial hydraulic circuits requiring reliable three- or four-way flow control. Buna-N seals make it compatible with a broad range of hydraulic fluids in service environments where moderate temperature and chemical resistance are required.

Designed to mount on industry-standard surfaces, this valve integrates readily into existing hydraulic circuits across a wide range of sectors, including machine tool, press, primary metal, marine and offshore, die casting and foundry, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment. The DG17V4 series is available in thousands of configurations, giving engineers the flexibility to specify the right valve for the application without custom fabrication.

Question by: Janice S on Aug 27, 2025, 8:00 PM
flow rate on this thing is listed at 114 litres per minute -- is that enough for a press application or would it be cutting it close?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 28, 2025, 8:36 PM
For most press circuits, 114 litres per minute is a solid working range. Press applications are listed right among the intended uses for this valve, so it's built with that kind of demand in mind. Whether it's cutting it close really comes down to your specific circuit requirements, but the flow capacity here is not a light-duty figure by any stretch.

Wondering if this valve would be a good swap for the one on my old metal press? They’re about the same size.

This DG17V4-010C-H-10-S-588 valve will mount on industry-standard surfaces, so if your current valve uses a common mounting pattern, it should be a straightforward replacement, granted the flow rate is sufficient. Just double-check the specs to be sure.
