Question by: Merle T on Jan 19, 2026, 7:39 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 8 liters per minute -- is that gonna be enough for a die casting setup or is it more suited to lighter duty applications?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 21, 2026, 7:17 AM
Eight liters per minute puts this valve in the range where it handles precise, controlled flow rather than high-volume throughput. Die casting is actually one of the listed application types for this valve, so it fits right in that environment. The direct-acting design helps with the kind of responsive, repeatable control that die casting use typically need. If your process demands higher flow volumes, you'd want to look at a larger valve in the KTG4V series, but for applications where accuracy matters more than raw flow, this one is built for it.

Can this valve handle some pretty tough environments?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 4, 2025, 7:11 AM
With fluorocarbon seals, this Vickers proportional valve is made to perform reliably even in demanding industrial conditions.
