Question by: Rex H on Jul 1, 2025, 9:22 PM
got a system that needs around 30 gpm, is this valve gonna be a bottleneck?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 3, 2025, 6:06 AM
On flow, the spec for this DG17V4-01 single stage directional control valve is 114 litres per minute, which is right around 30 gpm. If your circuit is sized for that neighborhood, it lines up with the valve’s stated flow capacity.
Question by: Glen B on Sep 8, 2025, 6:06 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 114 LPM -- is that enough for a press application or am I gonna need something bigger?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 10, 2025, 6:23 AM
For most press applications, 114 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. The DG17V4 series is actually listed as suitable for press use, so you're in the right ballpark. Whether it's enough depends on your specific cylinder volume and cycle speed, but the valve itself is rated and applied in press environments regularly. If your system is already designed around that flow range, you should be in good shape.
