This Vickers by Danfoss DG5V-8-H-6C-E-M-U-H-10 directional control valve is suited for die casting and foundry applications, as well as for machine tools, marine and offshore use, presses, primary metal, paper, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control (wind, steam, and water).

This three- or four-way directional control valve is easily mountable on industry-standard surfaces and offers thousands of models to suit all applications. It features a 700 litre per minute flow rate, a 30 wattage, and utilizes Buna-N seals. It has a product width of 4.67.

we run a pretty heavy press operation and been looking at directional control valves that can actually keep up with the flow demands, does this one handle high volume work or is it more of a lighter duty unit?

At 700 litres per minute, this valve is built for serious flow demands. Press applications are actually one of the listed uses, so it lines up well with that kind of work. If your operation is pushing high volumes, this is not a light-duty piece of equipment.
