Question by: Rusty M on Jun 6, 2025, 1:14 PM
Can this handle the constant start and stop on a big metal press without wearing out too quick?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 8, 2025, 6:47 AM
Application in presses is definitely supported. This Vickers valve is made with a Buna-N seal material, which offers good abrasion resistance in hydraulic applications involving constant cycling.
Question by: Kirk D on Sep 19, 2025, 7:45 PM
Flow rate on this one says 700 litres per minute, is that gonna hold up for press and die casting work, or is that more of a ceiling you don't want to push?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 21, 2025, 6:37 PM
For press and die casting applications, 700 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. That figure represents the rated flow rate for this valve, so it's built to handle the demands those environments put on a directional control system. Die casting and press use were specifically called out as intended applications, so you're not working against the grain of what this valve was made for.
