Question by: Earl R on May 23, 2025, 8:29 PM
Will this here directional control valve work alright for a die casting machine?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 25, 2025, 10:14 AM
Application-wise, this Vickers valve should be a good fit for die casting, along with foundry work, machine tools, marine or offshore setups, presses, primary metal processing, paper mills, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control for wind, steam, and water.
Question by: Howard R on Dec 28, 2025, 6:36 AM
Flow rate on this one shows 114 liters per minute, is that enough to run a die casting setup without choking the system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 30, 2025, 6:42 AM
For die casting applications, 114 liters per minute is a solid flow rate and one of the reasons this valve gets spec'd into those environments. Die casting systems typically demand fast, repeatable directional shifts under load, and this valve is built with that kind of duty in mind. It's listed specifically as a die casting and foundry application, so that pairing is well established. As long as your system is sized to match that flow capacity, you shouldn't run into restriction issues on the valve's end.
