DG5V-8-H-2C-1-M-U-H-10

Description & Features

Designed for high-flow directional control in demanding industrial environments, the DG5V-8-H-2C-1-M-U-H-10 is a two-stage hydraulic directional control valve from Vickers by Danfoss Power Solutions. It supports flow rates up to 700 litres per minute and operates at 30 watts, making it well suited for applications where reliable, high-capacity flow switching is required.

The valve offers three- or four-way directional control and mounts on industry-standard surfaces for straightforward integration into existing hydraulic circuits. Buna-N seals provide durable compatibility across a broad range of hydraulic fluids. Application coverage is extensive, spanning die casting and foundry equipment, machine tools, presses, primary metal and paper processing machinery, marine and offshore systems, test and simulation equipment, and turbine control systems including wind, steam, and water turbines.

Question by: Stan H on Jun 30, 2025, 7:52 AM
Will this thing handle standard hydraulic fluid okay, or do I need to get something special?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 2, 2025, 6:58 AM
Designed with Buna-N seals, this valve provides broad compatibility with a range of hydraulic fluids, so you shouldn't need anything special.
Question by: Lyle B on Nov 19, 2025, 1:14 PM
Flow rate on this thing goes up to 700 litres per minute, that enough muscle for a big press setup or are we talkin more of a mid-range application?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 21, 2025, 6:44 AM
For press applications, 700 litres per minute is substantial capacity. This valve was built with press environments in mind alongside die casting, primary metal processing, and similar high-demand industrial work. If your press circuit calls for high-flow directional switching, this fits squarely in that category. Whether it covers your specific flow requirements depends on your system demand, but 700 LPM puts it well into heavy-duty territory rather than mid-range.
