Will this directional control valve work okay for controlling a hydraulic press?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 6, 2025, 10:27 AM
This DG17V4-012N-H-10 directional control valve is indeed well-suited for hydraulic press applications, as well as primary metal processing, die casting, and foundry work.
Question by: Shane J on Dec 25, 2025, 12:00 PM
Flow capacity on this one is listed at 114 litres per minute, is that enough to handle press or primary metal applications without choking the circuit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 26, 2025, 12:45 PM
For most press and primary metal circuits, 114 litres per minute gives you solid headroom. Those applications tend to demand reliable directional control under load more than extreme flow volume, and the DG17V4-012N-H-10 is built right for that kind of duty. As long as your system demand stays within that flow ceiling, you shouldn't run into restriction issues during normal operation.
