A single-stage directional control valve rated for flow up to 115 litres per minute, the VICKERS-F3-DG4V4-016C-M-PA5WL-B-5-10 is designed for demanding industrial hydraulic applications including press systems, machine tools, die casting and foundry equipment, primary metal processing, and turbine control in wind, steam, and water installations. Marine and offshore environments as well as test equipment and simulation systems are also supported application areas.

Built under the Vickers brand by Danfoss/Eaton, this valve offers three- or four-way directional control and mounts easily on industry-standard surfaces, providing broad compatibility across existing hydraulic systems. Buna-N seals are fitted as standard, and the unit draws 30 watts. Its DG4V4-01 series design is available across thousands of configurations to address a wide range of application requirements.

Flow rate on this one says 115 litres per minute -- is that enough to run a press system without choking out mid-cycle?

For press applications, 115 litres per minute is a solid flow capacity and sits well within the range these valves are specifically built to handle. Press systems are listed right alongside machine tools and die casting equipment as supported applications, so the valve is engineered with those demand profiles in mind. As long as your system requirements fall under that 115 LPM ceiling, you shouldn't run into flow restriction issues during normal press cycles.
