Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Lee C on Aug 4, 2025, 10:20 AM
I’m wondering if this valve can handle different hydraulic fluids, or if it's picky about what goes through it.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 6, 2025, 6:58 AM
Constructed with Buna-N seals, this Vickers directional control valve is compatible with a range of hydraulic fluids commonly used with this seal type. It is always wise to verify specific fluid compatibility with the seal material for optimal performance and longevity.
Question by: Gene H on Jul 17, 2025, 7:11 AM
flow rate on this Vickers is listed at 80 liters per minute, that enough volume for a press application, or would something bigger be needed?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 18, 2025, 2:26 PM
For most press applications, 80 liters per minute is a solid working range. Presses are actually one of the listed application types for this valve, so it fits right in that category. Whether it's enough really comes down to your specific cylinder size and cycle speed, but the valve itself isn't a bottleneck for typical press circuits running in that flow range.
