Question by: Janet C on Dec 8, 2025, 5:39 PM
What kind of applications does this valve work with? I'm thinking about using it for a new machine we're building.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 10, 2025, 6:23 AM
This Vickers valve is suitable for applications like die casting, machine tools, marine/offshore setups, presses, primary metal processing, paper, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control.
Question by: Dean A on Apr 17, 2025, 3:44 PM
flow rate on this one is listed at 95 liters per minute -- is that enough for press or primary metal work, or is it on the lower end for those setups?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 19, 2025, 8:54 AM
For press and primary metal applications, 95 liters per minute is a reasonable working flow rate and falls within what many systems in those environments actually run. It's not the highest capacity valve in the Vickers lineup, but for a good portion of press and metal processing setups it'll handle the demand without issue. Where you'd want to take a closer look is if your system regularly peaks well above that threshold, since running a valve consistently near or at its rated flow tends to shorten service life over time. If your circuit stays at or under that number, this valve fits right in those applications.
