Question by: Tommy M on Apr 2, 2026, 4:26 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 liters per minute -- is that enough for press and die casting applications or is it on the lower end for that kind of work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 4, 2026, 1:10 PM
For die casting and press use, 80 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate on a valve in this class. The DG4V-3 series is specifically listed for press and die casting use, so it's sized with those demands in mind. Whether it fits your exact system depends on your circuit design and actuator sizing, but the rating isn't a compromise for those applications, it's appropriate to them.

Reckon this valve could handle the paper industry kinda work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 7, 2026, 6:26 AM
This Vickers valve is indeed suitable for applications within the paper industry, in addition to uses such as die casting, machine tools, marine environments, presses, and more.
