VICKERS DG5V8S2CMUD7DS10

Description & Features

Designed for high-flow industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers DG5V8S2CMUD7DS10 is a two-stage directional control valve capable of handling flow rates up to 700 litres per minute. The valve operates at 30 watts and incorporates Buna-N seals, making it well suited to demanding fluid power environments where reliable directional shifting is critical.

This valve supports three- or four-way directional control and mounts on industry-standard surfaces, simplifying integration into existing hydraulic systems. It is applicable across a wide range of industrial sectors, including machine tool, press, primary metal, marine and offshore, die casting and foundry, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment. The broad application compatibility reflects the versatility of the Vickers DG5V-8 series platform.

Question by: Brenda C on Jun 14, 2025, 5:29 PM
what kind of industries is this valve actually built for? got a foundry application and trying to make sure it ain't overkill or underpowered before we order
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 15, 2025, 8:11 PM
Foundry work is one of the listed applications for this valve, so you're in the right ballpark. It's also used in machine tool setups, press systems, primary metal and paper use, marine and offshore environments, turbine control, and test or simulation equipment. The DG5V-8 series covers a broad range of demanding industrial uses, so a die casting or foundry application fits right in line with what this valve was built around.
Question by: Roger A on Apr 30, 2025, 1:15 PM
Can this be used with different hydraulic fluids, or is it pretty much stuck with the Buna-N seal compatibility?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 2, 2025, 9:15 AM
Designed with Buna-N seals, this valve works well with standard hydraulic fluids, but you'll want to double-check compatibility if you're planning to use anything specialized to avoid seal damage.
