flow rate on this unit, is 114 liters per minute the max, or is that a continuous rating?

114 liters per minute is the rated flow for this valve. That figure represents the operational flow capacity for the DG18V4-012C-10-S551 as spec'd by Eaton Vickers. Running right at the rated limit on a continuous basis isn't always advisable depending on your system setup, but that number is what the valve is built around.
