VICKERS-DG4V-3S-42A-VM-U-B5-60-EN557

Description & Features

A solenoid-operated directional control valve suited to demanding industrial environments, the Vickers DG4V-3S-42A-VM-U-B5-60-EN557 delivers a flow rate of 40 litres per minute with a solenoid wattage of 30W. Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across a broad range of hydraulic media.

This valve is well-suited for use in machine tool, press, primary metal, and die casting and foundry applications, as well as marine and offshore environments, turbine control systems, and test and simulation equipment. The DG4V-3 series is a widely recognised platform in industrial hydraulic circuits, and this configuration reflects that versatility across high-demand duty cycles.

Question by: Shane C on Mar 28, 2026, 7:10 PM
flow rate on this thing is listed at 40 LPM -- is that enough for a press application or should i be looking at something bigger?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 30, 2026, 11:31 AM
For most press circuits, 40 litres per minute is a solid working range. Press applications are explicitly listed among the intended uses for this valve, so it fits right in that category. Whether it's enough really comes down to your actuator size and cycle speed. If your press demands higher flow, you'd want to step up to a larger valve series, but for moderate tonnage press work this flow rating is well within normal operating expectations.
Question by: Wayne E on May 10, 2025, 10:28 AM
Is this valve okay for continuous use in a machine shop environment, or is it more for occasional jobs?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 12, 2025, 8:36 AM
This Vickers valve is well-suited to demanding industrial applications with high-demand duty cycles, including machine tool environments.
