flow rate on this thing says 1250 liters per minute -- that enough to run it on a press without bottlenecking the system?

For press applications, 1250 liters per minute is a substantial flow capacity. Vickers lists presses as one of the primary intended applications for this slip-in cartridge valve cover, so it's built with that kind of demand in mind. As long as your system is sized appropriately around it, you shouldn't run into a flow restriction at the valve cover itself.
