A two-stage directional control valve designed for demanding industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers DG5S4-02-31C-T-M-U-H7-30 supports both three- and four-way directional control functions at flow rates up to 115 litres per minute. The valve is rated at 30 watts and uses Buna-N seals, making it well-suited for applications where fluid compatibility and reliable sealing performance are priorities.
Designed to mount on industry-standard surfaces, this valve integrates readily into existing hydraulic systems across a broad range of sectors, including machine tool, press, marine and offshore, die casting and foundry, primary metal and paper processing, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment. With thousands of available configurations in the DG5S4 series, this Vickers by Danfoss/Eaton valve addresses a wide spectrum of directional control requirements.

Question by: Earl M on Dec 23, 2025, 9:10 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 115 litres per minute -- is that enough for a press application or are we gonna be cutting it close?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 25, 2025, 6:52 AM
For press circuits, 115 litres per minute is a solid working capacity and covers most mid-range press hydraulic demands without issue. The DG5S4 series is explicitly listed for press applications, so it's been put to that use in real industrial settings. Whether it's a tight fit really comes down to your specific circuit design and peak flow demands, but the valve isn't undersized for that category of work by any stretch.
Question by: Earl W on Nov 19, 2025, 5:02 PM
What kind of machines or setups does this valve usually go into?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 21, 2025, 6:56 AM
This Vickers directional control valve is commonly used in machine tools, presses, marine and offshore equipment, die casting and foundry applications, primary metal and paper processing, turbine control systems, and test and simulation equipment.
