Designed for two-stage directional control in demanding industrial hydraulic circuits, the Danfoss / Eaton DG5S4-040CX-E-T-M-U-H7-70 is a Vickers-series valve capable of handling flow rates up to 94 litres per minute. It supports both three- and four-way configurations and mounts on industry-standard surfaces, making it compatible with a wide range of existing system layouts.
Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across typical hydraulic media, while the 30-watt coil rating suits standard industrial power supplies. This valve is suited for use across a broad range of applications, including machine tool, press, primary metal, marine and offshore, die casting and foundry, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment. With a wide model range available under the Vickers sub-brand from Danfoss Power Solutions, the DG5S4-04 series is well established in heavy-duty industrial hydraulic contexts.

Question by: Earl B on Dec 30, 2025, 8:37 PM
Flow rate on this one says 94 litres per minute, that enough to run a decent-sized press circuit without starving the system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 1, 2026, 6:40 AM
For most press applications, 94 litres per minute gives you solid headroom. The DG5S4 series was built with press and primary metal work in mind, so that flow capacity fits right in with the kind of demands those circuits put on a directional valve. As long as your system isn't pushing beyond that threshold, you should be in good shape running it in a press line.
