Danfoss / Eaton Vickers KBFDG5V Series

Description & Features

Eaton Vickers KBFDG5V series valves are designed for proportional control in demanding applications. The Danfoss / Eaton Vickers KBFDG5V Series is suitable for use in die casting and foundry equipment, machine tools, marine and offshore systems, presses, primary metal processing, paper mills, test equipment and simulation, and turbine control systems (wind, steam, and water).

These Vickers proportional valves offer optimized performance, simplified installation, and reduced potential for errors. They are designed to handle a flow rate of up to 100 liters per minute and utilize fluorocarbon seals for enhanced durability and compatibility.

With a width of 3.09 inches, these valves integrate effectively into existing hydraulic circuits.

Question by: Ronnie P on Jul 25, 2025, 3:23 PM
Flow rate on this one shows 100 liters per minute, is that enough for press and die casting work, or is that on the lower end for those applications?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 1:35 PM
For die casting and press applications, 100 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate for proportional valve service in those environments. The KBFDG5V series is listed specifically for die casting and foundry use as well as press work, so it fits right in with those demands. Whether it covers your full system requirement depends on your circuit design, but the valve itself is rated and intended for exactly those industrial uses.

What kind of applications does this valve work for? I'm seeing a lot of different stuff listed.
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 25, 2026, 3:23 PM
It's suitable for a pretty wide range, from die casting and metal work to marine stuff and even turbine control, so it's built to handle a lot.
