DANFOSS / EATON FITTING

Description & Features

Designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems, this carbon steel male pipe rigid fitting belongs to the Eaton E Series crimp hose fitting line. It connects a 1/4-18 NPT male thread on one end to a -6 dash size hose end, making it a practical choice for hose assembly work where shock hazards are not a primary concern, Eaton recommends H277 or H435 series fittings where shock conditions apply.

The Danfoss / Eaton Fitting features Dura-Kote plating, which provides corrosion resistance suited to demanding service environments. The E Series design is system-engineered to support extended hose assembly service life, with a 1/4-18 thread specification on both ends and a hex size of 0.56. Construction from carbon steel keeps the fitting compatible with a broad range of hydraulic fluids, fluid compatibility documentation is available from Eaton for reference.

Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Dean A on Dec 29, 2025, 3:30 PM
If I'm using this in a setup where things might get bumped or hit, is this fitting still gonna hold up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 31, 2025, 6:39 AM
Dura-Kote plating adds superior corrosion resistance, and the design is meant to provide long-term performance and maximum uptime, even with general-purpose low and medium-pressure hydraulics.
Question by: Glen Y on Nov 14, 2025, 2:53 PM
What kind of hose does this fitting crimp onto, and is the 1/4 NPT thread on the pipe end a standard size I'd find at most supply houses?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 16, 2025, 7:26 AM
For the hose end, this is built for -6 dash size hose, which is a 3/8 inch inside diameter hose commonly used in low and medium pressure hydraulic lines. The pipe end runs a 1/4-18 NPT thread, which is about as standard as it gets for NPT fittings. You'll find that size at virtually any hydraulic or industrial supply counter without any trouble.
Question by: Johnny R on Nov 29, 2025, 7:29 PM
got a -6 hose, is this the right crimp fitting for it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 1, 2025, 6:32 AM
For a -6 hose dash size, this fitting matches that size and it’s an E Series crimp hose fitting assembly.
