Description & Features

This SALAMI HYDRAULICS NA INC 1.5PE Series Aluminium Gear Pump features clockwise rotation and is constructed for high efficiency and extended life in demanding environments. An advanced bushing and seal configuration optimizes performance, even in high-temperature and low-viscosity conditions.

This single hydraulic gear pump has a 0.67 cu in/rev displacement, a 2-Bolt SAE AA mounting flange, and a 9T 20/40 DP Spline, SAE AA shaft. It includes SAE -10 side inlets and SAE -8 side outlets. It has a rated flow of 4.7 GPM and a speed rating of 2550 RPM. This pump's peak pressure limit reaches up to 4205 PSI.

Recommended filtration is ISO 4406: < 2900 PSI: 20/19/16; > 2900 PSI: 19/18/15. It is designed for an inlet pressure of 7.38 in. Hg to 21.7 PSI. With standard Buna-N seals, the temperature rating is 5°F to 185°F. With optional FPM seals (Viton), the temperature rating is -4°F to 230°F. Minimum operating fluid viscosity is 66 SUS (with 80% reduction of working pressure and at minimum speed) to 3635 SUS (maximum starting viscosity), with a normal operating range of 85 SUS to 297 SUS.

I need a pump for a project. What kind of fluid should I be using with this one?

The recommended operating viscosity range is 85 to 297 SUS. You can go as low as 66 SUS, but you'll need to reduce the working pressure by 80% and run it at the minimum speed. Maximum starting viscosity is 3635 SUS.

pump says CW rotation but i need to run it the other way, is that something that can actually be changed or am i buying the wrong unit?

Rotation on this pump can be reversed without swapping out the unit entirely. You do it by reversing the position of the drive shaft and driven shaft, then rotating the front flange. It's a mechanical change rather than an ordering issue, so if counterclockwise is what your setup calls for, this pump can be configured that way.
