Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Todd C on Feb 4, 2026, 8:36 AM
Will this reducer fitting work with other brands besides Power Team, or is it strictly for their stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 6, 2026, 6:24 AM
Designed for Power Team high-pressure hydraulic products, this fitting is also compatible with other male pipe fittings that have an internal 30° seat. However, Power Team fittings 9687 and 9688 are exceptions and won't work with this reducer.
Question by: Sheila O on Oct 9, 2025, 6:53 AM
got a Power Team setup and need to step from 1/4 up to 3/8, is this reducer the right kind or is it some oddball thread
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 10, 2025, 2:56 PM
Built for Power Team high-pressure hydraulic products, this SPX reducer is a 1/4 x 3/8 adapter rated for max working pressures up to 10,000 psi unless otherwise noted. The female swivel end is a straight pipe thread (NPSM) with a 30 degree seat, so it matches up correctly with Power Team male fittings that have the internal 30 degree seat.
Question by: Lyle E on Oct 17, 2025, 9:16 AM
Got a Power Team setup running at high pressure and need to step down from 3/8 to 1/4 inch. This the right fitting for that, or am I barkin up the wrong tree?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 18, 2025, 9:56 AM
For Power Team high-pressure hydraulic systems, this reducer is rated to handle up to 10,000 PSI, so it's built for exactly that kind of demanding work. It connects the two port sizes you're dealing with and is specifically intended for use with Power Team products, so it should drop right into your existing setup without a fight.
