SPX NEEDLE VALVE

Description & Features

Designed for use with single- or double-acting cylinders, this needle valve from Spx High Force Hydraulics allows precise adjustment of operating pressures at values below the pump's relief valve setting. The flow range spans from 17 cubic inches per minute up to 6 GPM, supporting a wide range of hydraulic circuit configurations.

The SPX Needle Valve maintains a given pressure setting within 3% accuracy across repeated cycles, with an adjustable range of 300 to 10,000 PSI. It also provides economical circuit protection against over-pressurization, with a factory pre-set relief valve function, a maximum flow rate of 5 GPM, and a 1/8 NPTF male inlet connection.

Question by: Wayne E on Oct 20, 2025, 7:28 AM
trying to dial back pressure on my cylinder setup, will this valve let me set it under the pump relief and keep it there?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 22, 2025, 6:09 AM
For dialing in cylinder pressure below your pump relief setting, the regulator adjustment on this SPX needle valve is made to hold between 300 and 10,000 psi, and it stays within about 3% of the set pressure over repeated cycles.
