SPX H PRESS. Valve

Description & Features

Rated to 10,000 PSI, this in-line pressure valve from SPX Hydraulic Technologies is designed for use with single- or double-acting cylinders, allowing operators to adjust working pressure independently of the pump's relief valve setting. The SPX H Press. Valve maintains a set pressure within 3% across repeated cycles, making it well-suited for applications where consistent, repeatable pressure control is required.

The regulator is adjustable across a range of 300 to 10,000 PSI, with a flow range spanning 17 cubic inches per minute up to 6 GPM. A separate relief valve function provides economical circuit protection against over-pressurization, factory pre-set with a maximum flow rate of 5 GPM and a 1/8 NPTF male inlet connection. Catalog number C1KL13 identifies this unit within the SPX High Force Hydraulics product line.

Question by: Tammy C on Apr 29, 2025, 3:14 PM
pressure range on this valve, does it really hold all the way down to 300 psi or is that more of a lower limit you wouldn't actually run it at?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 1, 2025, 8:15 AM
Running it at 300 psi is within spec. The adjustable range on this regulator goes from 300 up to 10,000 psi, so that lower end is a legitimate operating point, not just a floor they listed for legal reasons. It also holds whatever you set it to within 3% across repeated cycles, so even at the low end you're getting consistent, repeatable pressure rather than something that drifts around on you.
Question by: Harvey H on Jun 15, 2025, 8:26 PM
Will this valve work okay with a double-acting cylinder?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 17, 2025, 7:59 PM
This in-line pressure valve is designed for use with either single- or double-acting cylinders, letting you tweak the operating pressure below the pump's relief valve setting.
