what kind of lines is this fitting actually meant for, like can it handle hydraulic pressure or is it more of a light-duty thing

Low pressure applications are where this one lives, shop air lines, lube lines, and light oil service. It's brass construction with a JIC 37 female swivel end, which makes it a solid choice for those everyday service and maintenance setups. Not built for high-pressure hydraulic circuits, so keep it where the pressure stays low and you'll get good life out of it.

got a -8 hose and need a reusable end. is this 10008B-608 the right style for a jic female swivel?

Made as a B Series field attachable reusable fitting, it matches a -8 hose dash and gives you a JIC 37 degree female swivel connection on the fitting end.
