got a harvester sitting idle cause the motor went out, this a direct replacement for the Char-Lynn H Series 5.9 or do i need to cross-reference something first?

As long as you're matching it to a Char-Lynn H Series 5.9 application, the SKU 101-1662 is the correct unit. The supplier part number is 101-1662-009, so if your old motor has that stamped on it or in your parts records, you're good to go. Cast iron housing, same geroler design, same series.
