CHAR-LYNN S MOTOR NICKEL PLATE MOTOR

Description & Features

Designed for use in demanding hydraulic systems, the Char-Lynn S Motor Nickel Plate Motor is a hydraulic orbital motor built to Char-Lynn's established S-series standards. The nickel plate construction provides enhanced resistance to corrosion and wear, making it well suited for industrial equipment and mobile hydraulic applications where durability and consistent performance are required.

As part of the Char-Lynn S-series lineup, this motor is compatible with a wide range of hydraulic circuits and is commonly used in agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and other industrial drive applications. The S-series platform is recognized for its reliability in low-speed, high-torque service.

Question by: Rick M on Mar 14, 2026, 4:23 PM
Been running S-series Char-Lynn motors for years on our grain equipment. This the nickel plate version, that mean it holds up better in wet or muddy conditions than the standard?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 16, 2026, 12:42 PM
The nickel plate construction on this motor is specifically meant to improve resistance to corrosion and wear compared to bare metal alternatives. For equipment that sees regular exposure to moisture, mud, or other harsh field conditions, that added surface protection does make a real difference in how long the motor holds up over time. It's still part of the same proven S-series platform, so you're getting the same low-speed, high-torque performance the line is known for, just with better durability built into the finish.
