Question by: Gene A on Jun 29, 2025, 2:49 PM
got a swing motor application on a piece of harvesting equipment and need something with decent torque without burning through energy all day, this Char-Lynn 2000 series hold up to that kind of work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 30, 2025, 5:12 PM
For harvesting equipment running swing motor duty, 660 newton metres of torque is a solid number, and the Geroler design on this unit is known for being among the lowest pressure drop motors in its class. That combination means less energy wasted as heat and more usable torque at the shaft. Cast iron construction handles the kind of continuous mechanical stress that comes with harvesting cycles, so it fits that application well.

got a brush cutter that needs a swing motor, would this char-lynn work for that kind of job?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 24, 2025, 10:06 AM
For brush cutters and mowers, this motor fits the stated application range, and it is also used as a swing motor and on harvesting equipment. It is a 2000 Series disc Geroler standard style motor.

Will this motor work on my brush cutter, or is it overkill?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 22, 2025, 6:56 AM
This Char-Lynn motor is often used on brush cutters and mowers. It's rated for swing motor applications as well, so it should handle the demands of that equipment.
