Danfoss / Eaton Weatherhead 105X5 Tube Nut

Description & Features

Carbon steel construction and Dura-Kote plating give the Danfoss / Eaton Weatherhead 105X5 Tube Nut reliable corrosion resistance in demanding hydraulic service environments. The zinc clear trivalent chromate finish meets SAE 040110 certification requirements, supporting use in applications where finish integrity and long service life are expected.

Manufactured under the Eaton Aeroquip Weatherhead sub-brand, this tube nut is part of a broad Weatherhead 105x series offering design flexibility across a wide range of configurations. Operating pressure capability exceeds standard SAE thresholds, making it a suitable choice for higher-pressure hydraulic tube connections. Weighing 0.5 lb, it is compact and straightforward to integrate into existing tube assembly setups.

Question by: Jean B on Aug 9, 2025, 7:44 PM
What kind of corrosion resistance does this tube nut have?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 11, 2025, 7:59 AM
This Danfoss/Eaton Weatherhead tube nut features Dura-Kote plating, which gives it excellent corrosion resistance.
Question by: Harvey M on Dec 15, 2025, 6:22 PM
what's the coating on this nut, and does it hold up decent in wet or outdoor conditions?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 17, 2025, 9:51 AM
Carbon steel tube nuts like this one get a zinc clear trivalent chromate finish, which is what Eaton calls their Dura-Kote plating. That treatment gives it better corrosion resistance than a plain steel part, so it holds up reasonably well when exposed to moisture or outdoor environments. It's not a stainless piece, but the plating does meaningful work keeping rust from taking hold under normal service conditions.

got a Weatherhead 105x setup, is the 105X5 nut the right spare part or am i mixing series
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 9, 2025, 10:58 AM
For replacement purposes, 105X5 is a 105x Series spare part tube nut under the Weatherhead name, so it matches that 105x family rather than a different series.
