Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Brenda M on Oct 18, 2025, 3:01 PM
Motor's rated at 850 newton metres of torque, is that enough grunt for running a wood chipper or trencher off a hydraulic system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 19, 2025, 8:37 PM
For trenching and wood processing work, 850 Nm is a solid torque figure and lands well within the range those applications typically demand. The Geroler design on this motor is also built to hold smooth output under shifting load conditions, which matters a lot when you're chewing through roots or hard ground. The cast iron housing adds durability for that kind of punishment too. As long as your hydraulic system can supply flow up to around 95 liters per minute, this motor should pull its weight without complaint.
