CHAR-LYNN 4000 SERIES

Description & Features

Designed for demanding low-speed, high-torque applications, the Char-Lynn 4000 Series is a disc Geroler wheel motor built for use in mowing, snow removal, sprayer, trencher, and wood products equipment. The cast iron construction supports a torque rating of 850 Nm, with a maximum flow rate of 95 litres per minute.

Available in standard, wheel, and bearingless configurations, this motor offers flexibility across a range of mounting and drive requirements. The highly efficient Geroler design contributes to reduced pressure drop, supporting energy efficiency in hydraulic drive circuits without compromising output performance.

Manufactured by Eaton Char-Lynn, this motor is a well-established choice in mobile hydraulic applications where reliability under variable load conditions is a priority.

Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Chad B on Nov 29, 2025, 3:16 PM
what applications is this 4000 series motor built for? trying to figure out if it'd work on a trencher setup we got
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 30, 2025, 3:24 PM
Trencher use is one of the listed applications for this motor, along with mowing equipment, sprayers, snow removal, and wood products machinery. Cast iron construction holds up well in those kinds of working environments where things get rough and dirty. At 850 newton metres of torque and a flow rate up to 95 litres per minute, it has the muscle for demanding driven-wheel or shaft applications like trenching.
