Product Questions & Answers (3)
Question by: Dwight A on Dec 3, 2025, 8:03 PM
motor puts out 575 newton meters of torque -- is that enough grunt for running a wood chipper or trencher off a skid steer?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 5, 2025, 2:01 PM
For wood processing equipment and trenchers, 575 Nm is a solid output and falls right in line with what those applications typically demand. This is a Char-Lynn 2000 Series Geroler motor, and mobile equipment like trenchers and wood chippers are specifically listed as supported applications. The cast iron construction holds up well under the kind of sustained load those machines put on a drive motor, so you're not working against the design here.
Question by: Billy F on Jul 8, 2025, 5:10 PM
got a motor that needs to be right around 11.9 in/rev, is this one actually that displacement?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 10, 2025, 9:02 AM
Displacement on this unit is 11.9 in³ per revolution, so it matches that 11.9 in/rev requirement.
Question by: Earl G on Nov 10, 2025, 4:51 PM
I'm lookin' to replace a motor on some mobile equipment. Would this Char-Lynn motor be a good fit, ya think?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 12, 2025, 10:52 AM
This Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 series motor is often used in mobile equipment applications, along with snow removal, mowing, spraying, trenching, and wood product machinery.
