What's this thing actually made of? Got burned by cheap pump parts before and trying to avoid that headache again.

Cast iron construction on this one, so it's built to hold up in demanding hydraulic environments. Vickers has a long track record with piston pump components, and this compensator subassembly carries that same material quality. Not a lightweight or plastic-bodied unit.
