got a mix of nylon and polyurethane air line in the shop. will this tee work with both or is it picky

For tubing compatibility, it’s meant to be used with a wide range of materials, including Nylon, Polyethylene, PVC, and 90A durometer Polyurethane. Both nylon and that 90A polyurethane fall within what it’s listed to handle.
