CHAR-LYNN MOTOR

Description & Features

Built for demanding industrial applications, the Char-Lynn 10000 Series Disc Geroler Motor delivers up to 2,700 Nm of torque and handles flow rates up to 170 litres per minute. Cast iron construction supports use in heavy-duty environments including saw mills, metal forming, boring, and port equipment.

This Char-Lynn Motor is available in standard, wheel, or bearingless configurations, offering flexibility across a range of drive requirements. The Geroler disc design is noted for its low pressure drop characteristics, which contributes to improved energy efficiency in high-cycle or continuous-duty applications. The compact and versatile design makes it a practical choice for low-speed, high-torque hydraulic drive needs.

Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Carl M on Nov 21, 2025, 3:14 PM
We run a saw mill operation and put a lot of hours on our equipment. This motor rated for that kind of continuous heavy use, or is it more of a light-duty piece?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 23, 2025, 6:38 AM
Cast iron construction and a Geroler disc design make this a solid fit for exactly that kind of environment. The 10000 Series is listed for saw mill applications specifically, so it's built with those demands in mind. The low pressure drop characteristic of the Geroler design also helps in high-cycle and continuous-duty situations by reducing the energy load over long run times. Up to 170 litres per minute flow rate and 2,700 Nm of torque puts it squarely in heavy-duty territory.
