Question by: Donna C on Sep 22, 2025, 10:26 AM
What kind of applications is this motor typically used for? I'm seeing a few different things mentioned.
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 24, 2025, 6:10 AM
This Char-Lynn motor is well-suited for applications like boring, saw mills, metal forming, and port equipment. It's designed to handle the demands of industrial settings.
Question by: Ronnie M on Jan 11, 2026, 2:33 PM
motor puts out 1475 newton meters of torque -- is that enough for heavy sawmill work or is this more of a light-duty unit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 12, 2026, 7:49 PM
For sawmill applications, 1475 Nm is a substantial torque output and falls well within the demands of that kind of work. The 10000 Series was specifically built with saw mill use in mind, along with other heavy industrial tasks like metal forming and boring. The cast iron construction backs that up too. This isn't a light-duty motor by any stretch.
