Question by: Jean M on Mar 9, 2026, 7:56 PM
we run a saw mill operation and been looking at low-speed hydraulic motors for a while now, what's the max torque this one puts out and can it handle that kind of load continuous?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 11, 2026, 6:18 PM
Rated at 2085 newton metres of torque, this motor sits well within the heavy-duty range for saw mill work. The Geroler design is built for low-speed, high-torque applications, so sustained load is what it's made for. Cast iron construction adds to the durability side of things, so it holds up in the kind of rough, continuous-use environments you'd find in a mill operation.

got a low-speed setup on a saw mill, is this Char-Lynn motor the kind folks run for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 28, 2026, 7:43 AM
For saw mill work and other heavy industrial uses, this Char-Lynn low-speed Gerotor Geroler motor is a common fit. The applications called out for it include saw mills, boring, metal forming, and port equipment, and it is built in cast iron for tougher environments.
