we run this pump on our injection molding line and somebody told me it's a lot quieter than older piston pumps, that true?

Quieter is the right word for it. The PVM Series was built to run at 50% less noise compared to older open circuit piston pump designs, which makes a real difference in a production environment where machines are running most of the day. For injection molding lines especially, that noise reduction adds up over a shift.
