Reckon this pump would hold up okay in a metal forming shop, running pretty much all day?

This Vickers PVM050 piston pump is designed to handle demanding industrial applications, including metal forming. Its robust construction should provide the durability needed for continuous operation.
Question by: Peggy H on Mar 23, 2026, 7:05 PM
pump's got an adjustable max displacement stop on it -- does that mean I can dial back the output if my system don't need full flow all the time?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 25, 2026, 6:46 AM
that feature lets you mechanically limit how far the pump strokes, so you're not pushing more fluid than the system calls for. Comes in handy when you're running a circuit that doesn't always demand peak output, or when you're setting up a machine and need to tune things in gradually. It's a physical stop, not an electronic one, so once you've got it set where you want it, it holds that position without any additional controls involved.
