CHAR-LYNN J MOTOR

Description & Features

Built for demanding low-speed, high-torque applications, the Eaton Char-Lynn J Motor is a cast iron Geroler-type hydraulic motor suited to agricultural and marine environments. With a rated torque output of 25 Nm and a flow rate of 21 litres per minute, it delivers consistent performance across a range of drive tasks including agricultural augers, harvesters, seeders, and marine bow thrusters. Its compact form factor makes it well-suited to installations where space is limited without compromising output capability.

Designed with extended bearing life and an increased shaft seal, this motor is built to withstand the operational stresses common in food processing and harvesting equipment. The cast iron construction provides durability in both wet and mechanically demanding environments.

got a seeder that needs a new hydraulic motor and I keep seeing this J series come up, the 25 Nm torque rating enough for that kind of application?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 9, 2025, 6:13 PM
Seeders are actually one of the listed application types for this motor, so you're in the right place looking at it. At 25 newton metres of torque and a 21 litre per minute flow rate, it fits well within the working demands of typical seeder drive systems. The cast iron construction also holds up to the kind of regular field use those machines see season after season.
