i’ve got an old 1361x series nut that’s chewed up, is this 1361X4 the right spare part to swap in?

what's this adapter made out of, and will it hold up in a shop that sees a good bit of moisture and grime?

Brass construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid corrosion resistance, so a humid or dirty shop environment shouldn't be a problem for day-to-day use. That plating is specifically there to handle tougher conditions than bare metal would.
