trying to hook a 1/2 pipe swivel end to a 1/4 nptf port, is that what this adapter does
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 12, 2025, 2:59 PM
For connecting those two thread types, it matches up a 1/2-14 female NPSM swivel on one side with a 1/4-18 male NPTF on the other. The female swivel thread is to SAE J514 and the male NPTF side is to SAE J476.
Question by: Shawn S on Oct 1, 2025, 4:54 PM
Will this adapter hold up in a hydraulic system running around 4800 psi?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 3, 2025, 7:52 AM
This adapter is rated for a maximum dynamic pressure of 5000 psi, so it should be suitable for your system, assuming the pressure remains consistent.
Question by: Bonnie W on Oct 12, 2025, 1:58 PM
what's the pressure rating on this adapter, and will it hold up runnin continuous on a hydraulic line?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 14, 2025, 7:31 AM
Rated at 5,000 psi maximum dynamic pressure, so it's built for serious hydraulic work. The zinc-plated steel construction gives it solid durability under sustained load, and the NPTF male thread on one end gives you a reliable pressure-tight seal without relying on sealant tape alone. For continuous-duty hydraulic lines operating within that pressure ceiling, it should hold up just fine.
