Reckon this'll hold up alright for a hydraulic log splitter?

Designed for robust hydraulic applications, this swivel fitting can handle a maximum dynamic pressure of 1,100 PSI.
Question by: Merle P on May 19, 2025, 8:06 PM
Does the 1,100 PSI pressure rating hold up under continuous use, or is that more of a peak number?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 20, 2025, 8:20 PM
That 1,100 PSI figure is the maximum dynamic pressure rating, so it reflects what the fitting can handle during active hydraulic flow, not just a static burst number. For steady-state operation you want to stay at or below that threshold. Running right at the ceiling on a continuous basis is harder on any fitting than cycling loads, so keeping your working pressure comfortably under 1,100 PSI will give you better service life out of this one.
