got a 1/2 hose i need to clamp down, is this the right style if i’m after a tight seal that won’t back off?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 31, 2026, 6:56 AM
For a secure, permanent seal on hoses and similar connections, the 2 ear style is a solid fit since the dual ears are made to compress evenly and hold tight once crimped.

What size hose does this clamp fit? Just wanna make sure I'm gettin' the right one.

This clamp is made to fit a 1/2 inch hose. It's designed for a secure, permanent seal, so you shouldn't have any leaks.
Question by: Wayne D on Nov 22, 2025, 5:37 PM
clamp says "2 ear" on it, does that mean it compresses in two spots or is that just what they call the style?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 24, 2025, 9:38 AM
Two ears means two separate compression points built into the clamp body. When you crimp it down, both ears deform and grip the hose evenly, which is what gives you that consistent seal all the way around. It's not just a name, it's how the holding force gets distributed, and that's a big part of why this style works well for permanent connections.
