Will this swivel fitting work with regular NPT threads, or does it have to be NPTF?

This Eaton Winner fitting is designed specifically for NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads, which are designed to create a tighter seal than standard NPT threads without relying heavily on sealant. So, while it might thread into an NPT port initially, you won't get the leak-resistant connection it's made for.
