Got a fairway mower that needs a new drive motor and I keep seeing these Geroler types recommended. What makes this one worth looking at over a standard gerotor setup?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 4, 2025, 2:59 PM
Geroler motors generally run with less internal pressure drop than older gerotor designs, and this one carries that reputation pretty far. The 4KC series is known as one of the lowest pressure drop motors in its class, which means the hydraulic system doesn't have to work as hard to push the same amount of power through. On something like a fairway mower where you're running the drive system for long stretches, that efficiency difference adds up. You're also getting 734 newton metres of torque and a max flow rate of 75 litres per minute out of a cast iron body, so it's built to hold up in that kind of continuous outdoor work.

Can this motor hold up to some pretty tough conditions, like on farm equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 13, 2025, 6:32 AM
Given its cast iron construction, this Danfoss/Eaton motor is durable enough for demanding mobile equipment applications such as harvesters.
