(S61-2) COMPRESSION NUT 1/8

Description & Features

Manufactured by Midland Industries, this 1/8 compression nut is a standard fitting component used to secure tubing connections in hydraulic and fluid system assemblies. Compression nuts work by threading onto a mating fitting body to draw the ferrule or sleeve tightly against the tubing, creating a leak-resistant mechanical seal without the need for flaring or soldering.

The (S61-2) COMPRESSION NUT 1/8 is suited for use in low- to medium-pressure fluid lines where reliable, repeatable connections are required. Its compact 1/8 size makes it appropriate for instrumentation lines, control circuits, and similar small-bore applications.

fitting's marked 1/8, that's the tubing size I'm matching to, right? just want to make sure I'm ordering the right nut before I pull the trigger

For compression fittings, the size refers to the outer diameter of the tubing it's meant to work with, so yes, 1/8 is the tubing size you'd be matching. This nut threads onto the mating fitting body and pulls the ferrule down tight against the tubing to form a seal. No flaring or soldering needed, which makes it pretty straightforward to work with on small-bore lines.
