(S65-8) COMP/UNION ELBOW 1/2

Description & Features

Manufactured by Midland Industries, this 1/2-inch compression union elbow provides a reliable 90-degree directional change in tubing runs where a union-style separable connection is required. The compression fitting design allows the joint to be disassembled and reassembled without special tooling, making it well suited for industrial fluid and gas line installations where future access or maintenance is anticipated.

The union configuration distinguishes this fitting from a standard compression elbow by incorporating a separable union joint at one end, offering added flexibility in tight or confined installations. At 1/2-inch size, it accommodates common tubing used across a range of industrial equipment and fluid handling applications.

Will this fitting work okay for hooking up some air lines in my shop? Gotta redo some of the runs.

This compression union elbow is well-suited for industrial fluid and gas line installations where you might need to take it apart later for maintenance or changes.
Question by: Billy W on Apr 28, 2025, 7:26 PM
trying to redo a tight tubing run, does this elbow let me make a 90 and still break the line apart later?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 30, 2025, 5:57 PM
For a tight spot where you need a right angle, this fitting gives you a 90 degree change in direction and also has a union-style separable connection on one end. That union setup is what lets you take the joint apart and put it back together later without special tools, which is handy when you know you will need future access.
Question by: Rick M on Dec 24, 2025, 11:34 AM
What makes this different from a regular compression elbow, does the union part actually let you take it apart after it's installed?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 25, 2025, 7:09 PM
The union end is what sets it apart. A standard compression elbow just connects two tube ends permanently in place. This one incorporates a separable union joint on one side, so you can disconnect that end of the fitting without cutting anything or disturbing the rest of the tubing run. That comes in real handy when the line needs to be serviced down the road or when the fitting is tucked into a spot that would otherwise be a headache to work around.
